Dare I ask, how much the insurance is?

The Smart is going to cost £1k but the female driver is 25.

Adding me as a named driver knocked off more than 200 quid.

Voice control!

As a teenager, a girlfriend I had drove me about in Clio. She said the radio was voice controlled, showed me, and I believed her but it turns out there was a stick on the steering column to make it louder and change stations.

Did that start life as a 280?

I don't know what you mean, it still is a 280.

Also what's the "innocent whistle" dimlie again?

Now you’re torquing. Money for new clutch left over?

Just booked my Awe-ris in for MOT, going to be stung for two front tyres I’m sure, probably brakes too and I think they mentioned corrosion on exhaust centre pipe and a rear spring last time.

It's seems like no time since the Kamiq arrived. It was on a three year lease, but I extended it for a further year because I really liked it and didn't want to let it go. The monthly payment went up in year 4 because there was no start of lease advance to pay, thus the finance company upped the price to compensate for that.

But it's time to say 'Bye' and unfortunately the same model is now out of my budget range, so it'll be replaced by a Nissan Juke. It's not ideal, but as finances have got much tighter since I retired, it'll just have to do.

On the plus side, I've been allowed early release of the Skoda at no charge, and that also means I won't have to have it serviced or MoT'd before it goes back, so that's a few bob saved. And the Juke is in stock, so I won't be waiting months for a build date like I did with the Skoda. And there's a £50 loyalty discount for using the same leasing agent again.

Also on the plus side, although there's an agent's fee and three months lease advance payment, the monthly payments will be £20 less than I'm currently paying on the Kamiq.

Finally, to answer the question that IIRC nobody asked, "Why is it kinda both a Yeti and a Kamiq?" it is a Kamiq, but the reg begins with YE71.

That shouldn't be a problem, those numbers are a way off the limit of the dual clutch transmission as that was reprogrammed too.

In my experience of pouring five litres of oil into a three litre sump, it's because i had not replaced the drain plug.

It's a good job for New York that Simon had a beef with John McClane and not you, isn't it?!

Thankfully(?) it was nothing so straightforward as that - garage guy found a hose had been nicked, presumably while he was doing the work; he screwed up his plan for the entire day to find and fix it and didn't even come close to suggesting any payment.

M and R in Malvern continuing to earn my respect, recommendations and sponds.

Quiet Sunday drive. Safe overtakes definitely made significantly safer.
