Hello,

I’m looking for an e-reader for Bean for his tenth birthday in a couple of weeks.

I have a Kindle, but as far as I can work out there is no easy way of transferring non-Kindle books onto it any more (there used to be, I used to do it all the time, but I think that functionality has been ended).

We have the Libby, Pressreader and BorrowBox apps at our disposal, and it would be really good for him to have digital access to library books as all of our physical libraries shut down.

It would also be good to have access to Kindle books, and I’m mustering to find a device that provides as many options as possible.

Many thanks for any advice!

Does Send to Kindle not work any more?

With the email address? Hmm… Online seems to suggest that it does. I’ll have to try. But I think that unless I’m missing something obvious there isn’t a way of getting things off of Libby/Borrowbox to do that.

I used to use... what was it called... Calibre. But as you don't have a PC, that might be tricky

Yeah, it’s surprising how many things not having a PC excludes you from.

I’m just looking at my work tablet now and installing the kindle app as well as a few of the other apps. I’m
Wondering if that may be the way to go.
