The website is up!

https://meatupfestival.co.uk/

Er... Technically it's safe for work, but... It's also... Not.

Listen, I was high on pain killers when I made it and I did realise that it was a terrible idea about an hour in, but I was nearly done by then, soooooo...

Oh my god.

You should take more painkillers* because that is amazing.

*Though obviously Hope you’re not in pain. Take them recreationally** instead

**Don’t do this.

Hello, lovelies!

If you want to come to MeatUp can you just give me a "fuck yeah" or something in this thread. You don't have to pay yet if you don't want to, but I need to get an idea of numbers.

Reminder: 2nd August, £20, http://www.meatupfestival.co.uk

Paignton, twinned with Shitterton. Stewart Lee will bring shit by the ton (and only by the ton), you will bring the pain (by the ton also)

Awlright! Hyped for the meat-up and having some delicious tasty grub and good company. I'll be coming up for noon on Saturday and headed back the Sunday for an eleven o'clock train, this time for Cheltenham to stop at my parents.

Have you any objection for my ordering a box of beer to be delivered to your door, Grim? It saves me lugging. Don't get craftily excited, it'll be Drop Bear 0.5% beer, one of the few genuinely tasty non-alcoholic-ish beers! xx

Of course not. Address is on the website, I think.

Hello! If you're coming to MeatUp and you haven't had a message telling you how to add music to a playlist, that means I've missed you off my list somehow, so let me know.

Do we need to bring any sides or sauces or anything?

Was thinking of baking a batch of brownies as usual too...

Should do, Parcelforce just emailed me that it will arrive at yours tomorrow.

Anyone got a Switch 2 and Donkey Kong Bananza by the way? Pondering pulling the trigger on it but unsure if I'll go motion-sickness 'bleurrrgh' over the free roaming camera so was hoping for a sneak try of it in some capacity. :)

Pete

If anyone is coming on the train that arrives in Bedford at 2.20pm then I have someone you can share a taxi with.

Thanks again to the Yes Chefs for stellar food, as usual! And thanks to everyone else for also being awesome, as usual!

Sorry we had to leave a little earlier before most people had arisen, good to see y’all, and catch peeps at Cottage!

Thank you for the lovely MeatUp! Just what I needed! It had a bit of everything - good company, tasty meats, incompetent name-games and the Fire-Master unlocking the primal feeling of man's first mastery of a frightening element stolen from the Gods.

Everyone was a winner! Especially the insects, who had an all-you-can-eat buffet on my legs. (Mental note, next time wear protective tight-fitting lederhosen.)

The jerk chicken was just the greatest, and the Beer Pong was excellent fun too! And now, to listen to a certain special someone's podcasts. And to try not to think how I loused up your shot of mega-stardom with a somewhat mediocre podcast portrait headshot.
