Ep5 was great but we'll be going back to the Haribo advert synth kids for Ep6 and so there's a good chance it'll suck.

I started watching it after reading this. Mrs. Blucey and I always like having an easy-to-watch US comedy show on the go. This is okay. You're quite right in terms of your criticisms but it's watchable enough. Not sure I've actually laughed yet.

My main issue with US sitcoms is that they always seem to lean on having two characters that fancy each other but never actually say it. Until they do. And then it goes wrong. And then they get back together. All in time for the inevitable moment where they're then going to have a baby. And that becomes the whole thing. It's a dull plot arc that has ruined plenty of good shows in the past. So I imagine if this show ever gets to like series 5, that'll be where it ends up.

Speaking of which, I see that Upload has a new series (looks like a short one, so I'm assuming that it's wrapping up the story of the show). Lady T and I have enjoyed this show.

Yeah, it's not rubbish and I don't hate it. There was some potential there but it's only okay. Not bad, just.... okay.

Yeah, Upload is done after these few (until they reboot it in a couple of years). Managed to not quite overstay its welcome.

Alien ep 6. Pretty good. Slow though and there were some proper stupid moments in it.

I am very much enjoying The Paper. In the same way the US Office was a different beast from the UK office, this is a different beast from the US Office.

A lower laugh rate than the office, but still plenty of laughs, and a real warmth and heart. Characters still bedding themselves in, but promising so far.

The end credits song names/lyrics tie in with the theme of each episode.

I like it.

Best show on TV at the moment for me, love it.

I get and like the idea, and I like the songs, it just jars a bit for me.

There was a reasonably contemporary song during the episode this week which also stood out a bit.

Surprised me a bit - when Tim Key appeared in the first I thought wow, that's misplaced casting. But they're using him little enough, and the whole works (I've watched the first three).

Tim Key does stick out, but he works. They are using him just enough. Esmerelda is a brilliant monster.

Ep 7 of Alien Earth. Well, I'm basically at the point where I'm going to accept that the writing is impossibly stupid and try to enjoy the final episode for whatever fun/cool bits it manages.
