Just watched adolescence. It is really good, watched all 4 episodes in one sitting.

The effect of ‘toxic masculinity’ and ‘incel’ culture on young men.

Is really worth a watching. It was compelling and harrowing. You can see why it is going to to be showing schools.

The Irish Last One Standing is pitiful, didn’t finish the first episode.

It's really worth a watch, the story is compelling and awful, and the one shot nature of the episodes does not let you relax.

I did have a couple of gripes though,

I do think something is lost by the lack of editing, a little bit of bloat, when (specifically Stephen Graham seemingly) people are standing around waiting for the cue.

And the other thing I found myself wanting was more information about the some of the kids in the second episode, and their stories and how they relate.

But other than that, I was gripped from start to finish, episode 3 was just so well done.

Yes Episode 3 got me. The actress Erin Doherty, was just fantastic. The way Own flipped form calm to angry and back, was great acting.

I wonder is Seson 2 will expain the gaps.

Mobland is British gangstas being british gangstas and the thing that is getting murdered the most is Pierce Brosnan's Irish accent. It's Guy Ritchie and watchable. Good cast.

Last One Laughing is great. If episode one puts you off, all I can say is stick with it.

We were talking about the new Harry Potter TV show, and then got to talking about the films, and I mentioned Jared Harris being in them, and my son told me he wasn't so I looked him up.

I was thinking of David Thewlis.

Just watched the first two episodes of ITV's Genius Game.

Other than a couple of irritating production choices *, I found it very engaging once I got past the first game. Indeed, the second was surprisingly tense for a simple logic puzzle.

The second episode flowed much better and now we're starting to know the contestants it felt like there was more at stake.

Worth a try if you're wanting something to watch before the next series of Traitors launches.

We watched the first episode of this last week. The game itself seemed quite good and I think it could be a pretty engaging show, but like yourself I had issues with the production choices. I’d much rather they’d have got a lesser known TV host in live than pre-recorded videos of David Tennant.

It also seems to have a sizeable set, but no props. When they were playing the game in the first episode they were doing little more than pointing to photocopied pictures on the wall when making their choices, like someone in a kebab shop at 3am.

I’m pretty sure that Grim… is on Virgin Island. He’s not very convincing either.

Jason Watkins plays a detective, retiring and feeling defeated because he failed to find a serial killer. His obsession with the case has caused problems with his wife and daughter who are distressed as he still won't let it go. He was convinced that he was on the brink of catching the culprit and that he'd actually found them, only to be proved wrong.


There's something a bit naff about the production, with a number of plot holes and an annoying ending.

But then it IS a Ch5 production so I shouldn't expect too much.

Fans of nuclear obliteration should note that both The War Game and Threads are currently on Iplayer.

Haven't seen the former in over 20 years so will probably find sometime to revisit it.

I recorded The War Game last night as I've never seen it. I'll give Threads a miss though. Once is enough for me

I'm enjoying Mitchell and Webb are Not Helping (Channel 4).

Most of the sketches land well, and the standout is Sweary Aussie Farm.

About half-way through - I think it's better to leave a gap of at least a day between episodes as otherwise some of the charm might be lost.

I watched the first episode and really didn't get on with it, The Aussie Farm was okay and I liked the sketch about the invention of Toilets, but everything was very meh (the airport security one being so dire)

I think the problem probably lies with me, I am very fussy over comedy these days.

Interestingly, I didn't care for the toilet sketch but thought the airport security was brilliant.

I'm quite enjoying it.

Got half way through the first episode and ditched it.

Yeah, I really enjoyed episode 1. Two pints in, and I'd already seen and enjoyed the airport security one, so was primed I suppose. Close to being too knowing, maybe, but it worked for me.

Same. It felt weirdly cheap and was trying too hard for me. That said, most comedy shows take an episode or two to warm up so maybe I need to check it out in a while.
